Back To School and Christmas, oh my!

Since school is now back in session, please call for an appointment for drop off and pick up.  I still have a child in high school and will be needed for various activities.  I am trying to stick to my open hours as closely as possible.

It is never too early to start thinking about Christmas.  December will be here before you know it and your gifts aren't quilted yet.  Get them in as soon as possible to avoid the rush.  Turn around time right now is 1 -3 business days.  I've even simplified the pricing!  Any edge to edge design is now only .015 cents.

December 9th is the last day that I will accept quilts for Christmas.

I look forward to working with you on your cherished quilts.

Say Goodbye to BOGO. Batting Alert!

As August is quickly advancing on us, so too is the end of our Summer Quilting Extravaganza. Only 3 weeks left to take advantage of our BOGO quilting for this year.

Batting Alert!!  Please read this section.  After some extensive testing on my machine comparing battings, threads and needles and consultation with my local Handi Quilter technician, we have determined that cheap polyester battings from our local big box store wreak havoc with the higher speed quilting machines such as the Infinity.  If you love the puffiness that you get from high loft polyester and you are bringing a quilt to Pine Hollow Quilts for quilting, please purchase the batting from us.  If you call ahead of time, we can make sure we have your needed size here ready and waiting.  I only use quality thread (Superior Thread) and batting (Quilter's Dream) in my shop that are trusted name brands to assure you of a quality quilting experience.

Handi Quilter 16 is still for sale.  This is NOT the sit down machine, although a rolling stool would serve this purpose well.  The 16 moves along the 12' long studio table. There are quite a few accessories that go along with it.

Summer Heat! BOGO Quilting! Contest Alert! Oh, My!

Take advantage of the summer savings on quilting before this deal passes you by.  A sale this good really does only happen once a year.

If anyone is interested in a used longarm machine, please let me know.  My Handiquilter 16 is for sale.  Have no fear!  I'm still doing rental classes and machine rentals, you will just be using the Infinity.  The downsizing is in preparation for our future move, just a mile down the hill.  More details to come.

Contest happening now!  I would like you to meet Little Orphan Annie.  She is a quilt top that I rescued in need of some love.  I brought her in, quilted her, gave her a bath and some test snuggles.  She is now ready to go to her forever home.  Because she is a rescue, she has some imperfections and slight blemishes (folds and tucks). How can you bring Annie home?  I have quilted 25 different scenarios onto her.  Your job is to study the photo and guess the scenarios in each area.  Only 1 correct submission of all 25 scenarios per person, please.  Please submit guesses to me via e-mail (tracy@, through comments on the Facebook post of Annie (Pine Hollow Quilts) or Facebook private messages.  You must guess all 25 to be qualified. In case of multiple correct submissions a drawing will be held to determine the winner.  If you are out of town, I will ship Annie to you.  Contest ends August 3rd.

April Showers/May Flowers

Is the rain keeping you inside sewing?  Are you piecing flowers in anticipation of May?  Maybe you are just building that log cabin in the woods.  Whatever you are making or have sitting in your stash that needs quilted, NOW is the time to get them on over here.  I currently have no waiting for quilting.

Starting in May, there will be a slight change in shop hours.  Wednesdays are now going to be our late night (12pm-8pm).  Thursdays will be normal hours of 10am-4pm.

We've had a busy couple of weeks with long arm classes.  Do you have the desire to see and feel what quilting on this type of machine is all about?  Call now!  I set up classes according to your schedule.  All supplies for class are provided, and you get to keep your sample.

Closures for March and New Pricing Options on Baby Quilts

March days are quickly rolling along.  Spring also means babies and new growth.  Here at Pine Hollow Quilts we are celebrating babies also.  We will be introducing a selection of baby quilts at a flat price of either $75 or $100, depending on several choices that you get to make.  Of course, we still offer completely custom made quilts.

As this is turning into a very busy month for our family, there are several days that the shop will be closed (10, 11, 15 and 25).  Other dates may be added.  Please call before you stop by to be sure that someone is here to assist you.  We are truly sorry for this inconvenience.

There are no long arm classes scheduled for March, however, if you would like to schedule a class, please call.  I will gladly set up a class to fit your schedule.

Our special for March is a 15% discount on quilting services for any top containing green fabric.  You must ask for the special when dropping off your top.
